Luca Rossini
Biography
Luca Rossini is a Ph.D in Plant and Animal Science, major in Ecological Modelling, minor in Applied Entomology, currently working as European Marie Curie Researcher (MSCA-2022-PF), in Ecological Modelling and Applied Entomology at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Service d'Automatique et d'Analyse des Systèmes. Luca focuses on the development and validation of mathematical models to describe pests and diseases. This includes the integration of sparse field measurements to improve the accuracy of the predictions. To pursue this aim, the research is based on ODE and PDE equations, numerical analysis and software development using C/C++, Python, R, and Matlab programming languages. Luca has many interests: mathematical and computational biology/ecology, pest monitoring, planning of measurement campaigns, field measurements protocols, high performance computing.
